Part 6: Submitting your lineups

In this 5-part series, you'll learn everything you need to know to build a winning MLB DFS process.

In the last lesson, I'll show you the fastest way to get all of your lineups into the right contests on DK or FD.

So we have everything saved. Now we’re going to jump over to the entries tab. I’m going to sort again by the entries and this is what I feel is the quickest way to do this. I unselect all the contests. Then let’s start, doesn’t really matter, but let’s start with these single entries. We’re going to select all of those. Say fill contests with lineups for single entry.

You’re just going to pick the latest save. And this is why it’s helpful to label it. And so for the fill method, we have videos that explain this in much, much more detail. If you click any of these tool tips around the screen, and you’ll see a video that walks through it in detail. But because we want a unique lineup in each of these contests, we’re going to select unique. And to use this, you just have to make sure that you have enough lineups to fill all the entries of the selected contest so we’re going to go fill. And I can see that they were filled uniquely.

Now let’s go to these three. Again, can select the latest from the three max build. Unique. Fill. 20 max. Unique. And for this, if it’s just one contest, you can just fill it from this drop down here. But I guess it does get, oh no, we got it. All right. So you look for the name right there and we’re just looking for the latest one. I did one build yesterday, one this morning, that’s why this one isn’t necessarily later than that but it’s a different day. So select that.

Then it doesn’t really matter because it’s a single contest but just put unique. And now all these contests are filled and we can see our overall exposures on the left. And this is where it’s cool because, like I was saying, we were tweaking some of them. It seemed like when we got down to a few lineups, I was telling you, don’t worry too much about it because you’re really thinking about your entire portfolio of lineups across all these contests and here you can see what it looks like.

So we’ve got 62%, 63% of the Dodgers is still a lot, but I really do think this is a great spot for the slate. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out, and that’s why we’re not risking a huge percentage of our bankroll on this one slate. But if it does, I’ve got a very good chance at taking down one of these contests. At the very least getting some, some good cash back from it. And you can just see how it all breaks down. When you’re ready to go, click download, and I just do download and open DraftKings. And this will bring us right to the page where we can upload it. You can see the entry file that’s downloaded automatically. You go here, find the folder, open the entry file, and you’re done. If you don’t have the entry editor, this would be kind of a pain in the ass. Actually really a pain in the ass.

We do have videos walking through how to do that without it. But that’s it. This is the process to beating DFS. Again, you’re not going to win every single day, but if you keep putting in the effort, keep following the process, keep making your adjustments but focusing on the spots where you add value and not messing, not wasting time with those areas where you’re not adding value, you will win in the long run. I hope this helps. If you have any questions at all, you can always reach out to us at [email protected] or you can reach me directly, but thank you so much for tuning in and good luck.
